Labor relations is a specialty. Meridian treats it like one.
Collective bargaining, contract administration, and labor-management disputes call for experience that sits outside most HR functions. Meridian provides it where it’s needed: for a single negotiation, a bargaining season, or an ongoing fractional relationship.

Practical labor relations, grounded in preparation.
Every engagement begins with understanding the agreement, the operation, the people, and the actual problem at the table.
Preparation
Bargaining history, comparability, and contract language worked through before the first session, not during it.
Clear objectives
Priorities set with the client in advance, so every proposal and response serves a stated purpose.
Disciplined communication
One voice at the table, consistent messaging away from it, and an accurate record of what was proposed and agreed.
Durable outcomes
Agreements written to be administered, not just ratified, in language that holds up when it’s tested in a grievance.
Meridian works where a bargaining relationship exists.
The practice is collective bargaining and the administration of the agreements that follow. Three standards apply to every engagement.
Conflict screening
Each prospective engagement is checked for conflicts before substantive information is shared. Meridian accepts work only where it can give the client independent, undivided professional judgment.
No union-avoidance work
Meridian does not provide union-avoidance, persuader, or anti-organizing services.
Not a law firm
Meridian is a labor-relations consultancy and does not provide legal advice. When a matter calls for counsel, Meridian will say so and can work alongside the client’s attorneys.
